With a connected design flow from the Hibernia Reit headquarters project, we approached the Hibernia project looking at the working environment in terms of biophilic design and it’s impact in terms of plan layout, finishes, materials and planting used. The brief was similar – a contemporary headquarters with a mix of boardroom facilities, small meetings rooms mixed with staff breakout out and office areas.

Our starting point again was to create a working environment that is functional but also welcoming and holistic for both the user and the visitor using the principles of biophilic design. We used a plan form that is organic in nature with curved corners and spaces that flow seamlessly from one into the other.

The materials used are natural and timeless with an extensive use of timber which is complemented with warm colours, organic materials and soft lighting and planting. The fit out is LEED certified.
